Promotional images: To have your work considered to promote the show, email high resolution jpgs of your artwork to Tara at info@hammondarts.org by June 1, 2025. Name the Image files using the name of artwork and the artist's first and last name. Example: Pretty Landscape, Latoya Smith.jpg
Show take in: October 6,2025 11am to 4 pm at Hammond Regional Arts Center. Intake will follow an alphabetical schedule that will be posted in a separate email to the registered participants and at HammondArtGuild.com
Opening Reception and Awards: October 10,2025, 5 pm - 8 pm, Hammond Regional Arts Center
Artists Talk and Gallery Tour: TBA 5 pm to 6 pm, Hammond Regional Arts Center
Show ends: November 6, 2025, 5:00 pm

1st Place in each category: $100 and Blue Ribbon

Eligibility
All artists 18 years or older are invited to submit entries.
Submissions must be executed within the last two years and not shown in previous judged Hammond Art Guild Exhibitions.

All media except motion images are acceptable. Work must be the original creation of the artist.
No photographic, digital copies or giclées of original physical works allowed except for photography/digital image development category.
No classroom or workshop works will be accepted.
The show committee will make decisions on appropriateness of entries and other matters concerning sales, pickups, etc. during the show.
Work must be appropriate for family viewing.
All works must be identified on the back or bottom with the artist's name, phone, email, and price.
Artists may be required to personally install works requiring special hardware or handling.
A submission capacity of 130 works will be accepted during registration period. Once the submission capacity of 130 works is reached registration will be closed and an email announcement to the membership will be sent out.
Categories
Two-dimensional art may not exceed 42 inches on any side.
2D-a: Two-dimensional work using primarily oil or acrylic paint.
2D-b: Two-dimensional work using primarily watercolor, pastel, alcohol inks, monotype hand produced prints, embellished or altered prints, drawings, collage, mixed media that do not exceed 3" depth.
Print and Image Development: An original developed image applied to a two-dimensional surface and is reproducible by the artist. This includes photography, digital painting or computer graphics, and traditional printmaking techniques such as etching, lithograph and silkscreen.
3D: Any medium that is produced in a three-dimensional form. This includes sculpture, bas relief sculpture, wood, clay (excluding pottery), and stained glass. Sculpture may not exceed a 24" x 24" footprint and 48" tall not including the pedestal.
Functional Art: Includes jewelry, basketry, and ceramics. Wall hanging must meet the size restrictions of all other wall installed works. These works will be subject to approval by the show committee. Same size limits as above.

Bonus Challenge Project for HAG Members Only : TBA
Entry Fees
Paid Hammond Art Guild members may enter up to 3 pieces and the Challenge Project for $25.
Non-guild members may enter up to 3 pieces for $20 per piece.
If the show has limited participation and there are less than 130 pieces, members may enter up to two more entries at $5 per entry at the discretion of the show chair and committee until 130 is reached.

Liability
Although all care will be taken in handling of entries, Hammond Art Guild will not be held responsible for loss or damage of artwork property or personal injury of exhibitors or patrons to the exhibit. Artists must infuse his or her own work independently if desired. Submitting work to an exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the artist with the Hammond Art Guild's conditions and rules. The Hammond Art Guild has the right to photograph any accepted work for the purposes of publicity and archives. The Hammond Regional Arts Center will retain 35% commissions on all sales. Fines will be levied for works removed before the end of the exhibition or left after the take in day without prior arrangement for removal. After 30 days any pieces left in HRAC become the property of HRAC to remove as they see fit.
